New LED Testing Equipment!

Thanks to the recent addition to our factory, MP Lighting has expanded its Research & Development Lab to include new equipment for LED product testing and CSA Certification!

With the recent push by government agencies for buildings to meet strict energy codes, it is even more important to ensure that MP products are tested for reliability and performance. The new equipment will ensure that product specifications are accurate and up-to-date.

1) The new LED Tester, produced by a leading German manufacturer of integrating spheres, measures the color temperature, color rendering index, and light flux in lumens for LED fixtures. The unique spherical shape and diffuse reflecting surface allow the light to reflect completely and evenly, measuring the fixture's light output in all directions.1

2) The Konica Minolta CL-200A Incident Color Meter measures the color temperature and amount of light hitting a surface. This light meter is highly reliable in measuring the color temperature of white LEDs as it has the ability to measure the chromaticity and quality of light output from an assembled product.2
